Lipstick vs Laundry

lipstickI took my favorite business clothes on a 10-day business conference. When I got home I put them into the laundry. What I didn’t realize is that a whole tube of my red lipstick went through the wash and dry cycle, too!

One at a time, every single item I took out of the dryer had rid lipstick on it! My wardrobe was ruined so what did I do? I sat down and cried!

But then I remembered that TLC  Clean Laundry™ is supposed to work better than other products. I didn’t expect it to get out these stains. I was sure it was hopeless, so I did a Gooble search and was told that rubbing alcohol would take out the stains. It did nothing at all.

Since I had nothing to lose, I figured I’d give TLC Clean Laundry™ a try.

Following the stain removal directions on the product jar, I added 1 tsp Keeps Clean Laundry™ to a cup of hot water and poured it over the stains. I let it sit for a couple hours. Then I threw my clothes into a regular wash with hot water.

I did not expect it to work. I put some paper towels under my top, to catch the red dye as I added the Keeps Clean Laundry with water to each area.  As I added the concentration of hot water and product to my shirts, the red dye immediately started coming out!

In the first time through the laundry, many of the items came completely clean. On other tops, the stains were reduced, but not yet gone after once in the wash. So I put them through the wash again.

Well, I didn’t believe it would work, but I was wrong! TLC Clean Laundry™ brought my clothes back to the way they were before the lipstick.

Now, I do NOT recommend that you let lipstick go through the dryer with your clothes. But, it’s good to know that you may just be able to get those stubborn stains out with a good spot treatment with TLC Clean Laundry™!
