Johnson & Johnson Improves
By Barbara Loraine
I’m reminded of the scene in the Wizard of Oz, when the house falls on the wicked witch, they all sing, “Ding dong the witch is dead . . .”
Johnson & Johnson, one of the world’s largest personal care product companies, is reformulating its popular “No More Tears” baby shampoo so that it no longer contains quaternium-15, which releases small amounts of formaldehyde inside the bottle to serve as a preservative. The federal government declared formaldehyde to be a known human carcinogen in 2011.
Further, Johnson & Johnson has promised to continue removing chemicals from both its children’s and adult product lines.
Perhaps you were unaware that there was formaldehyde – a known carcinogen – in baby shampoo. What other dangers and hazards are lurking in your home?
